dokko offers three scan levels to match your needs. You only pay for the services you actually need, and volume discounts start at just 2 items. (All prices are net, excluding VAT.)

Elephant Scans
Elephant is the economical option for scanning full rolls at a quality that is still genuinely useful for production and archiving. Minimum order is 3 rolls.
What's included with each film
- All images in full resolution with color adjustment as 8-bit TIFF files
- All images in full resolution as uncorrected 16-bit raw files for archiving
- A copy of all corrected images as JPG files
- A contact sheet with each image individually corrected
- A contact sheet with the same adjustment applied to all images
A basic color adjustment is made for each image based on my proprietary color calibration. To keep costs low, no dust retouching is carried out unless you add this option to your order. Color fine-tuning and dust removal can be done either initially or later on selected raw scans as an extra option.
All films are handled with gloves and carefully cleaned with a dust blower and anti-static brush. But dirt stuck to the emulsion and fingerprints will not be rubbed off since this adds the risk of damaging the film.

- Slower delivery time: -10% (3-4 weeks)

- Slides or negatives cut to single images: +70%
- Retouching of dust and scratches: +80% (up to 30min per film)
- 48h express service: +50% (by prior arrangement)
- 24h express service: +100% (by prior arrangement)
Delivery Time
- The upload / dispatch usually takes 5 business days from the day I receive your originals. If I'm swamped, it can take up to 7 business days. For urgent projects, rush service is available upon request.
Mammoth Scans
What's included with each scan
- Each image in full resolution with color adjustment as 16-bit TIFF file
- Each image in full resolution as original 16-bit raw file for archiving
- A copy of each corrected image as JPG file
- Retouching of dirt and scratches (up to 30min per image)
Mammoth scans are individually fine-tuned for each image and adjusted according to your preferences. Preview images will be sent out so you get the exact colors you desire.
All films are handled with gloves and carefully cleaned with a dust blower and anti-static brush. But dirt stuck to the emulsion and fingerprints will not be rubbed off since this adds the risk of damaging the film.
Digital retouching to remove dirt and film damage is included up to 30 minutes per image.

- 6 images or more: -10%

Leviathan Scans
What's included with each scan
- Each image in full resolution with color adjustment as 16-bit TIFF file
- Each image in full resolution as an unprocessed raw file for archiving
- A copy of each corrected image as JPG file
- Retouching of dirt and scratches on each image (up to 30min per GB)
Leviathan scans are individually fine-tuned for each image and adjusted according to your preferences. Preview images can be sent so we can align on the final color direction before delivery.
All films are handled with gloves and carefully cleaned with a dust blower and anti-static brush. But dirt stuck to the emulsion and fingerprints will not be rubbed off since this adds the risk of damaging the film.
Digital retouching to remove dirt and film damage is included up to 30 minutes per GB. When files exceed TIFF limits, delivery is arranged as PSB or OpenEXR as needed.

Data transfer via cloud service is included, with the following options

- Encrypted 128-bit AES Apple Disk Image (for particularly sensitive data): +30 EUR
- USB flash drive: +20 EUR (drive included)
Metadata & File Naming
Custom file naming and embedded IPTC/XMP metadata are available on request.
Handling & Security
All originals are handled with gloves in a controlled, dust-minimised environment. For high-value originals, I recommend insuring shipments at your end, as carrier liability is typically limited.
Archiving
The download links are active for 2 weeks and the data will be stored locally for at least two months.
Please make sure that you have downloaded, checked and archived all your data within 14 days, and reach out if you have any problems at all.
Film Return
In Germany, film originals can be returned using DHL, well packaged and with tracking.
Within Berlin, I'm also happy to arrange a courier for you.
Shipping abroad is possible via DHL, with tracking.
Any risk of loss or damage will pass to the customer when the films are delivered to the carrier.
